Yes and back then it wasn't known as muga it was known as the eye of the tiger which I Kevin actually performed. That's how he ended up beating ryoma's cyclone smash.

okay another topic was created about kevin so i decided to bring back this topic and send the other one (which only had 3 posts, including mine) to the archives. in the other topic, remy said that: "Was I the only one who thought that Kevin was annoying when he appeared? That blond guy in the american team.
The only good thing about the whole Kevin-thing was when Tezuka gave Echizen an bitch-slap haha ;P « Last Edit: Today at 7:01pm by remy »"

i think it's ryoma's fault why tezuka slapped him... he is such a stubborn kid... he wants everything his ways....

back to topic ;D
okay i think that kevin needs more of a goal in life than to hunt down ryoma and lose to him. but the point is, i quite enjoyed that filler somehow.

In the end the "Omg, I have to defeat Ryoma!" Got annoying.
Although he did change when Ryoma went over to the states. He showed a different personality, a more caring side, from what we knew about him before.
Which all in all, "raised" my interest in the whole plot.

when i first saw kevin in the anime, i didnt care for him. as the arc played out showing why he is the way he is, changed my mind. true, still dont like him to much but dont dislike him.
it was rumored that konomi was going to do the senbatsu camp and us vs japan deal after the nationals. i guess the animation studio that was doing the PoT tv series at the time heard it and decided to do that arc, my guess but not for sure.
that is a good question on why he went to every school but rikkai.

I was under the impression that Kevin was staying in Tokyo and fixated on beating the entire tennis team of every single half-decent school in Tokyo. Rikkai Daigaku Fuzoku is not in Tokyo. It is in Kanagawa. I doubt whoever was funding his entire trip was going to let him go on a day trip out of the city to play unauthorised matches.
Apart from that, I think Kevin's a good person really but has gotten himself fixated on a bad goal. We can blame his father for that, as well as any personality disorders the poor kid may have. Like the fact that he is far, far, far too arrogant for his own good, just like nearly every single tennis player out there.

Ah, well, he deserved it. I do remember that arc but I'm having trouble remembering whether he went to Hyoutei or not.
