...YUKIBU. I'M IN AWE.
(...Somehow the fact that Bakaya got his agressive tennis play from Yukibu is a possiblity...)
CRUSH ECHIZEN!! KILL HIM!! *is already as sadistic as Fuji from the beginning*

Interesting chapter. Maybe next chapter we see the beginning of PoP. (And I guess Ryoma did open both the 1st and 2nd door). Though Yukimura's tennis style is scary. Here's us thinking he had the most realistic play, it turns out to be the most unrealistic.
Anyways, I found something quite interesting (taken from MH):
Any views? =]

so he is practically handing thewin to echizen i don't think so. i think he doesn't know what is the third door and he just want to win the match and take the nationals title the 3rd time for his school.

If the pinnacle of perfection works that way. Ryoma senses are closed. He wouldn't know where to or how to hit the ball. His senses are closed. all five of his senses are closed. He cannot hear, smell, touch, taste and see. How would he even get near the ball

Well heres my two cents on the chapter
I cut and pasted from my manga helpers post (I'm Atobe the king over there)
"I knew Yuki would be broken...but this is pathetic....of all the unrealistic stuff in PoT...at least there was some explanation or simplification for these techniques.
But robbing someone of their senses is broken and in my opinion is lame...i'd rather he just continued to be a super Shiraishi.
As streifen said...despite any hate for Seigaku Rikkai has hand their chances to shine
-A team of Tezuka class players -2 national championships -16 straight kanto tournament wins
and every member of their team is arrogant sans Yagyu
they deserve to lose as does Yukimura....Sanada remains my number 1 Rikkai member because of this, Yukimura....bluntly...bores me he feels like a Byakuya rip off
/End rant"

They deserve to lose just because they've had their success already?... so they're just supposed to step aside because they won already... that's really all you're saying. How illogical, past success only fuels the drive for even more success, which is obviously what Rikkai does. They're good, they know it, everyone else knows it.... Like hell they're just going to step aside just because you don't like their arrogance... arrogance? wait? you like Echizen dont you? Oh the irony on that one.

but i think kiriharathedevil means that everyone's reign of winning must come to an end, and rikkai's will probably end now Thank you for understanding my point And im actually not an Echizen fanboy....my username here and on manga helpers (Atobe The King) should indicate who my favorites are...i just hate that people dislike Echizen for being good and winning...in addition to all Echizens haters reasons for hating Echizen can be applied to multiple characters (a la fuji) Anyway yes...thats what i meant...Seigaku had made it to the Finals for the first time in who knows long...and they Actually won the Kanto tournament that Rikkai was dominating for 16 YEARS! everyone needs to lose to have their eyes opened Both Atobe and Sanada's loss to Ryoma gave them epiphanies(sp? lol)...Sanada got even better..and Atobe accepts the new generation Ryomas loss to tezuka gave him his epiphany(again splg ? XP)...sadly it was apparently too early on and since hes won EVERY match after that he garnered a lot of hatred. And E.Ryoga lol@assumptions....Rikkai is my overall favorite team with Shitenhouji and Hyotei right after...i actually dislike all of Seigaku except for Ryoma, tezuka and Kawamura in burning mode. Rikkai's arrogance isnt why they DESERVE to lose...its why they are GOING to lose...typical shounen laws indicate that Unbridled Arrogance=Painful eye opening defeat

I've already given my plethora of reasons as to why I don't like Echizen, not just "because he's winning." I see no need to reinforce why I don't like the kid. Hell, my reasons even go against why you think Rikkai Dai should lose.
Also, how did Sanada get better by losing to Echizen? The true Fuu Rin Ka In Zan Rai wasn't made because of the loss to Echizen. It was merely sealed away, being saved up for Tezuka. At least that's how it is in the Manga, in the anime it's different I think, but I really don't care for the anime's storyline(If I recall, the anime storyline made it even WORSE, sending him to the US Open going up against PROS, but then having him come back making it to the finals of the US Open to participate in Japan's Nationals... pfft, good job anime writers). Atobe I see having his "epiphany", but Sanada? Don't see it.
Anyway, from the beginning I never really did care which school won, just as long as Echizen lost. I've said it before, I'll say it again, not a lot of anime/manga characters are likeable, that is fact, Echizen is one of those characters. I'm not saying Echizen should lose just for the sake of him losing "because he always wins." I want to see the kid lose the big one for the sake of his own character development. He's supposed to be the main character, might as well hold some water for him.
PoT once had its own twist and looked like it was going to be its own story, in a good way. Unfortunately as the Nationals came close and closer, it only became more and more predictable. For Echizen's attitude and his own self-realizations, I say he should lose the match. It would be good for him. Albeit everything else, it's too storybook to have the underdog underaged child defeat the once undefeated kings. (And when you think about it... that's EVERYWHERE IN ANIME!! Having Echizen win... which he probably will, will only result in another generic story line for the entire manga/anime, another reason why I think he should kick it.)

Ryoma has lost before but those were not official matches he needs to lose official matches. He needs to learn that you cannot win at everything. Before he faced tezuka he did win all his matches expect to his father. The moves they do in prince of tennis may not be real but the sport is real.

I currently like where the things have gone in the current chapter. It's nice to see that (for now) some one can over power Ryoma.
I also think the mystery that Yukimura held through out most the series also makes this a bit better too.
Mainly because we were left wondering about his abilities and play style for about 300 some chapters.
I'm not too sure where the next chapter's heading... but I hope Ryoma doesn't pull some magical come back.
:/
There's no fun in that.

Not the technique i meant overall....it's implied that he did in some Flashbacks after their defeat at the hands of Seigaku Re-read Sanada's match with Tezuka and saw the flashback, I like how he said "I lost to some midget rookie" when read in context with the rest of it, was pretty entertaining. But back to it, it was the first time he lost in a long time. That was hardly an "epiphany", nowhere close. He disciplined himself because he lost to some cocky rookie and wasn't able to keep his promise to Yukimura, someone he truly respects, in a sense and whatever givin implications you seem to have gotten from it, the only thing Echizen did was make him mad. He was only doing things the Rikkai way.
