Hi Everyone - this is my first post on here, not sure if you just start a thread and wait to see if people pick up the topic or what but I'll give it a go and see what happens.
I was just wondering whether I was the only one thinking that the current consoles lack soul? I've dug out my old Gamecube this evening and it's running next to my PS3 at the moment, I've blasted through Mario Kart Double Dash on medium difficulty and considering it's the 17th (at least) time i've done this and it still manages to be fresh and different I think it speaks volumes about the quality of the games that used to be produced.

Throughout the history of gaming, most consoles, and all successful consoles, have lasted 5 years before being made obsolete by their manufacturers. Last gen, XBox was 4 years, Gamecube was 5 years, and PS2 was 6 years (with Dreamcast getting the plug pulled early). _____________ How to be a player
