Can we have a contests board, Genichirou-nee-chan? I think it might be a good idea to let people participate in different contests such as wallpapers contests, story contests,...

Hmm. Gen may be a boy for all we know. Except me. Cause I know gen. (How about gen, you just post your gender on. Nobody cares :D)
Its a good idea. We used to have this banner-making contest in another forum. The only thing is that not everyone might join and/or people have different taste and they fight when the winners and announced. Which is not exactly very good.

Well it doesn't really matter now, I think I've referred to geni san as a girl before.
Well anyway I think we should wait before making this board seeing that we have such boards in general. And from what I know from experience boards like these go into spamming zones...

oh i see but having a contest board is still a good idea if anyone want to compete each other in a lot of fields such as history, arts,... well, i think we'll just wait then but hopefully, we can have one and it will not gon into spamming zones.

well it depends... You see we're trying a lot of new ideas if we have enough room to make a contest board then we could try. But until then we'll have to wait for geni san to get back.

"spamming zones" haha, good thing we don't have anyone who spams around here ;D (by the way, geni-san is referred to as "she" in you "location" thing, kyuuki)
anyway, i agree that it might cause fights *readies camera* but i also have a question, how will the winner be decided?

Hmmm... yeah I've seen this kinda stuff before. I don't think we really need it, if you want a story contest just do it in the PoT Fandom board under Fanfiction, same for the graphic contests ; PoT Fandom >> PoT Images board. We could sticky the threads and make them announcements in those boards.

I guess I did. xD Never spotted it until you pointed that out.
And I'm thinking contests might get people to hate each other on the forums, because of the winning and blah. Not that serious, maybe, but likely.

well, i think we'll just wait for geni-nee-chan then. if this idea is not good then we can just ignore and close it.

So I was also thinking about a Contest thing, but not just a board, but rather a pretty big project, which I will talk about here.
So we all have 10 different 10 sub-boards where we RP. I would like to take it a step further, beyond just RP. I would like that the members of each School to compete against the others school in different kind of competitions. I have done it at several boards and we had lots of fun actually. So this is how it would work.
Everyone is already divided into different schools, but they would need a place where they can discuss and work together with the different puzzles and tasks. So, if we would make each Schools sub-board password protected and given a password that only that schools members would know. That would solve the thing about working together more, and without any disturbances from the other members.
On to the next part.
The competitions could be anything. It could be that the team would have to write a poem about a certain thing, that they would find a image posted up anywhere on the forum, stuff like that, different puzzles, which could include everything etc. Obviously this would require a little neutral squad who would make the competitions, be the Ref and decide the outcome. 2-3 Creative people would be perfect. The competitions would be a regular feature, or as much as the involved members have time with.
I know that this requires much work, but I believe that it would be fun. Any kind of response bad or negative would be good. I'm not afraid to change this Idea for the better, not at all, so don't be afraid. After all, this is only a suggestion ^^

RP can be for one, there can be some for the grafics thread, and fanfictions too ^^' There are lots of talented people here and we need to show our works~
SOTW, or SOTM; FOTW, FOTM (that's signature of the week/month, and fanfiction of the week/month if you don't know)

>.> work and more work.
yep, that's definitely a very good idea. And we could have this stickied thread that lists the winners for the different events etc etc. But this would obviously require more effort from everybody, to keep this section up and running. Remy covered almost everything in his suggestion, but I'd also like to suggest that perhaps each school could be in charge for a week and be the referee.
Anymore suggestions/opinions on this matter? I'll see what I can do and put up this section asap when I have the time.

Sorry geni-san =='
Well, we could start contests and stuff in RP and here on the forum when we've got our mods set. Pretty good idea you had about the schools ^^

Sounds good geni.
And I like the Idea about having one school be the referee once in a while. Perhaps the same school should be responsible for making that competition also?
I noticed that there are 3 more active schools. Rikkaidai, Seigaku and St: Rudolph. Im the only active member in Fudomine, since "Shinji" just seem to have vanished.

Sorry to say, this may take a while to be added into the forum. Some of the staff are quite busy lately, and I am going to be leaving for awhile again. But don't worry, we'll put it up before CHristmas - Just take it as a Christmas gift from us to the forum

This section will be put up a little later than expected, but I guarantee that I'll put it up before Xmas - Sorry BTW, remy, you mentioned that we'll have 10 sub-boards. What would these be?

I was thinking that the members of the same school could discuss the competitions in their sub-board. There are already sub-boards for the schools which we RP in. We could use them for this also. They would be able to discuss different solutions etc.
But then again, it is worthless if the competitions only will focus on the single individual. So you can just scrap it if thats the case ^^
A place where they can go without being disturbed. I hope that I make some kind of sense. =)

Sorry Remy, but I'm a bit of a procrastinator. ^_^
Okay well so if I got everything right, the members will discuss in their own sub-boards, which are password-protected - about contests such as "Find the post where this image appeared" etc etc. Every fortnight, the 'organising' school would change.
To make this effective, I would be drafting out rules, details and information about this RP section soon. Right now, I need ideas on what we should name this particular part of the forum - be it a category or boad.

if it's related to rpg, let's make it a board. but if it's just pure contests/competitions in there. let's make a category.

A category it is. What we need now is suggestions.
The only problem is that there seems to be slightly or no interest in it, at all. Perhaps I am wrong, but it seems that way..
