THE PLOT -
The plot, which takes place in an imaginary end to the 19th century, revolves around Allen Walker, a young boy who becomes a member of the Black Order, an organization of members known as Exorcists. Their mission is to stop The Millennium Earl, an evil being planning to cleanse the world by destroying all humans and life itself, with the help of his brethren, The Noah Clan, and of course, his creations known as Akuma.
The Exorcists themselves are chosen people, gifted with the ability to control and use Innocence, a divine substance created in ages past to combat the Earl. It is said that after The Great Flood, the 109 fragments of Innocence were scattered around the world. Once an Innocence finds its compatible user, it can be made to become a weapon for the user to wield in the battle against the Earl.
As the story progresses, Allen is introduced to more Exorcists: Yu Kanda, Lenalee Lee, Miranda Lotto, Lavi, Bookman, Arystar Krory III, and Komui Lee, who is the Supervisor of the Black Order and also Lenalee's older brother. Allen also knows of his master and mentor, Cross Marian, one of the five Exorcist Generals of the Black Order. During there missions, Allen and his fellow Exorcists are introduced to the other Generals as well: Kevin Yeegar, Froi Tiedoll, Cloud Nine, and Winters Sokaro.
The Earl is followed by his brethren, The Noah Clan, who are descendants from Noah himself. They each are gifted with great power and each are considered an aspect of Noah, making them considered the greatest humans to ever live. The Noah Clan members are: Road Kamelot, the Dreams of Noah/ Tyki Mikk, the Pleasures of Noah/ Jasdero and Debitto(Jasdebi), the Bonds of Noah/ Skin Boric, the Wrath of Noah/ Lulubell, the Deceit of Noah(her aspect of Noah has not yet been revealed).
The Earl's Akuma are creations he makes by taking advantage of someone's grief and using them to bring back there dead loved ones, thus killing the grieving person and turning them into Akuma with the soul of the dead one trapped within. Level 1 Akuma have no intelligence, no personality, and no sense of mind and basically just fire away at everything. Level 2 Akuma are much more intelligent and also have its own personality, making it able to talk. Level 3 Akuma are so far the most powerful and vicious, with great amounts of power and intelligence, and also sadistic personalities.
TERMS USED -
Akuma: lit. "evil demon", officially used and translated as "devil"
Blood Bullet: The bullets shot by the Akuma contain a poisonous virus. The moment the bullet hits someone, the virus rapidly spreads throughout their body in the form of pentacles (dark purple stars), and they soon crumble to pieces.
Parastic Anti-Akuma weapons: The most rare type of Innocence. The Innocence actually dwells inside of the exorcist's body and transforms a part of the exorcist into a weapon.
Equipment Anti-Akuma weapons: The most common type of Innocence. The Innocence are forged into external weapons (e.g. Katana) that are easily adapted to their Accommodators. Exorcists who have equipment type Anti-Akuma weapons tire less easily than those who fight with a parasite type weapon, but they have the additional weakness of not being able to fight if they are separated from their weapon.
Exorcists: The "Apostles" of Innocence, and members of the Black Order, they fight the Earl, his minions, and the Akuma, to stop him from bringing death to the world. There are currently only 13 exorcists alive.
Finders: Supporters of the Exorcists, and members of the Black Order.
Innocence: A strange material left by an ancient civilization which, if compatible with a person, can form into the weapons Exorcists use to stop the Earl.

IMPORTANT CHARACTERS > BLACK ORDER -
Exorcists:
Allen Walker - Allen is an orphan who was eventually found and adopted by Mana Walker on Christmas Day. Mana died, and Allen, tormented with grief, turned Mana into an Akuma, hoping that his beloved surrogate father would be fully resurrected. But the Mana Akuma cursed Allen and sliced through his left eye, leaving the "Pentacle" which scars the left side of his face. This enabled his left eye to see the souls trapped within the akuma from then on. It was at this same moment that Allen's left arm first invoked as an anti-Akuma weapon.
Allen eventually met Cross Marian, a general of the Black Order. Allen subsequently became Cross' disciple and spent the next three years with him before being sent to the Black Order to be made an official exorcist there.
So far, Allen's Anti-Akuma Weapon has undergone four stages of transformations: In the first and most basic form, his left arm is augmented into a monstrous adamantine claw, which glows supernaturally at the scapula-joint; The second form functions as an arm-cannon which fires lightsaber-like rod projectiles dubbed the "Cross Beams". But it also possesses a secondary function as close-range melee weapon--narrowing the cannon barrel to fashion the Innocence's power into a highly-focused laser rod, dubbed the "Cross Blade," used for cutting; The third, the Crown Clown, in itself, drapes Allen in a long, green ectoplasmic cowl, as well as transforming his left arm into a slender, leathery-black arm with razor-sharp talons; The fourth and most powerful, Allen's entire left arm is transmuted into a Zweihänder-like weapon, embroidered with a large cross, with his left shoulder being capped off with a crowned, cross-emblem seal. The remnants of Crown Clown's cape wrap around his wrist, eventually regenerating its full masked-cowl.
I'm going to skip his eye and go on before the message box explodes >>>
Kanda Yuu - An 18 year old Exorcist from Japan. He can recover much faster than ordinary humans due to a mysterious tattoo above his heart (which looks like a Hinduism seal). It is related to a Lotus flower, sealed in an hourglass, that is connected to Kanda's life. It is said that when it wilts, he will die. His purpose in life is to find a person that he refers to as "that someone"; which will be hard but until then, he will never allow himself to die. So far, the Lotus flower has lost three petals, but is otherwise still robust - it has 13 petals in total.
Yu is Kanda's given name, but he dislikes being called that. He calls Allen "bean sprout" (¥â¥ä¥·, moyashi), because compared to him, Allen is somewhat short and of a slight build, not to mention Kanda is older. Kanda seems to have a slightly friendlier attitude towards Lavi, though he doesn't hesitate with his usual threats if Lavi calls Kanda by his given name.
Kanda dislikes so many things to the point that "there are too many to write down". But it is a known fact that he hates people with naive personalities (Allen), people who can't keep their mouths shut (General Tiedoll), people calling him by his given name (Lavi), and "sweet things" (though it is unknown whether he means "sweet" as in food, or "sweet" as in naive, as the term for "sweet" and "naive" are the same in Japanese).
His anti-Akuma weapon is a black katana, "Mugen" (Áù»Ã), which turns silver when activated. There are six illusions (Mugen meaning six illusions) - Kaich¨±: Ichigen (First Illusion: Hell's Insects); Nigentou (Two Illusion Blades) which includes Hakka Tourou (Eight Flowers Praying Mantis) and Shouka (Sublimate); and the third Kinki Sangenshiki (Taboo Three Illusions).
As the sword is called "Mugen" (Áù»Ã) and "Áù" means six, it is speculated that there will be three more attacks. It could also be that the 6 in the name is added to make a phonetic misinterpretation of the name possible: Mugen written as "ŸoÏÞ" means "infinity".
Birthday: June 6
Lenalee Lee - Komui's younger sister, and assistant Head Officer. She is Chinese, and 16 years old. Her parents were killed by an Akuma when she was very young. It is implied that she has a crush on Allen.
She is an Exorcist whose anti-Akuma weapon is a pair of boots, or "Dark Boots" (ü\¤¤Ñ¥). That, when invoked, increases one's speed and strength greatly in the legs. Her boots allow her to use the following techniques: Onkyou no Tougi: Otokase (Step Skill of Sound: "Sound Shackles"); Suijou no Tougi: Mizukase (Stepping Skill on the Water: "Water Shackles"); Enbu: Kirikaze (Waltz: "Mist-Wind") and lastly Shittsui no Tougi: Tetsukase (Falling Footwork: "Iron Shackles")
Bookman - An old man who records the hidden history of the world. He comes from the Bookman clan and simply introduced himself as "Bookman" during his first meeting with Allen. Lavi accompanied him when he appeared. He refers to Allen as "The Destroyer of Time", as he believes that Allen is the only one who can defeat the Earl of Millennium. Bookman also mentions that a "Bookman" does not put himself in the frontline and he just happens to be on the same side as the Black Order. His anti-Akuma weapon is called Heaven Compass, which is a set of acupuncture needles. One of his moves is "Needles of Spells: North Crime" which impales the target with thousands of needles. His Innocence can also be used on a defensive technique called "Needles of Divine Protection: East Crime", making the needles encircle the target and protect it against external attacks. He also has some healing skills through acupuncture.
Lavi Y - A red-haired Exorcist of mixed race, who aims to become a Bookman and is working along the Black Order just to be close to the events that must be seen. To help him, he developed an incredible memory: he is able to memorize every single aspect of something he saw. He is 18 years old, and normally uses his left eye while the right eye is covered by an eyepatch.
His anti-Akuma weapon is a size-shifting hammer, which he calls Ōdzuchi Kodzuchi ("big hammer small hammer") or Nyoibo. It can grow (man) or extend (shin). His hammer can also summon several "judgments" with kanji possibly representing the classical elements that can be used individually or combined. His techniques so far, are: Hi Ban: Gouka Kaijin (Fire Seal: Conflagration of Ash; Ten Ban: Raitei Kaiten (Heaven Seal: Thundering Lightning Whirling in the Skies; Moku Ban: Tenchi Bankai (Wood Seal: Roots Entwining Heaven and Earth and Konbo Ban: Gouraiten (Combo Seal: Strong Thunder of the Heavens)
Birthday: 10th August
Headquarters:
Komui Lee - Komui Lee is the Supervisor of the Black Order, and Lenalee's older brother. He is Chinese and about 29 years old.
Komui is shown as a very whimsical and goofy character, he is somewhat sadistic and borderline maniacal sometimes. He drinks coffee nonstop, is lazy and often tries to worm his way out of doing work by either running away from the office (Reever has to track him down), talking on the phone non-stop even when the other side hung up or other methods (he created a robot named Komurin II that went berserk and nearly tore the Headquarter apart). He keeps a notoriously messy desk and lost Allen's letter of recommendation from General Cross when Allen first joined the Order, which led the Order into believing that Allen was an intruder. In the manga when it was asked how much do his colleagues trust Komui, the mangaka answered that it was 99% trust and 1% murderous intent. During his naps, one of the only ways to wake him up is to say that Lenalee is getting married due to his doting personality.
Komui, despite everything, does have a serious side. He feels guilty for throwing the Exorcists and Finders into danger, and tries to help in anyway he can (in the manga he made better uniforms to protect the Exorcists).
Lenalee and Komui seem to share some kind of telepathic link, shown when Komui collapsed when Lenalee was being drowned by Eshi and that Lenalee can tell when Komui is taking a nap even from the other side of the world.
Other members:
Alestina Drow Joanason P. Robathan Gia Amadeus V - I just HAD to put his name on this guide :P. As the fifth Gatekeeper, this giant face guards the gate of the Black Order's headquarters.
Timcanpy - Exorcist General Cross Marian's golem which has the abilities to record video and track down enemies. Cross gave his apprentice the golem to be his "representative" to the Black Order so Allen can become an official exorcist. Since then he has been Allen's travelling companion. He seems to change in size in different points of the story and is speculated that the reason may be based on how close it is to its former master. Timcanpy also has the ability to detect converted akumas (changed akumas that work for Cross), as well as pinpoint the location of Cross Marian.
IMPORTANT CHARACTERS > NOAH FAMILY (FOLLOWERS OF THE MILLENNIUM EARL) -
Leader:
The Millennium Earl (Sennen Hakushaku) LOVE HIS NAME! - Also known as "the Earl of Millennium", he is the antagonist who tricks people with dead relatives and friends into creating Akumas. He is a sorcerer from long ago, and he plans to lead the world to its death. Currently, he has combined forces with the Noah family who call him "Duke Millennium".
In appearance, the Earl resembles a grotesque caricature of a Victorian gentleman -- a rotund figure in cape and top hat, with an enormous grin that remains fixed even when he speaks, and his eyes permanently hidden behind a small pair of spectacles. In the manga, almost every one of his lines of dialog ends with a heart; in the anime, he invariably uses polite Japanese.
He has 2 primary personalities. The first is his normal cheerful, friendly, and happy attitude, almost like a friendly old uncle. With the Noah, he's a member of the family, and appears to share affection with Road. His other personality is one of sheer, sadistic malice, capable of happily playing with people's lives.
Lero - Lero is the Earl's talking umbrella and golem. It does not do much except from screaming around, adding its own name on almost every sentence said by it. When used by Earl, it works as a flying umbrella in the style of Mary Poppins.
The Noah Family (Just including the important bits):
Jasdebi - Screw them. Moving on.
Road Kamelot - Despite looking as if she is in her early teens, Road is referred to as the oldest of the Noah. Road has an affinity for candies and blood, as well as a childlike enjoyment of birthday-reminiscent themes.
Her dimensional space is in the form of a wrapped present, while her weapons of choice are levitating candles that can be sharpened to waxen stakes. While inside her personal dimension, she can control nonliving objects within the area; For instance, her stake-like candles fly to attack at her will. She has absolute control of everything in her dimension ranging from her appearing out of the floor, creating a copy of Lavi to crumbling his Innocence. Outside of her dimension she has displayed Telekinetic powers.
She is the only Noah capable of programming Noah's Ark, and appears to have the favoritism of the Millennium Earl.
Skin Boric - He challenges Kanda to a fight after revealing to have been stalking him for an extended period of time. He is able to transform into a large golem-like creature that is capable of shooting and manipulating lightning. This form is the personification of his own inner rage and gives him a body with an amazing resistance and strength. If the enemy is strong enough to wound him, it will get an electrical shock due to the fact Skin's body is full of electricity. Using his ability, he can use the techniques:
Lightning; Divine Punishment.
He represents the "hatred" of Noah, and after losing to Kanda in a battle, is currently presumed dead. Even though this is the most implied case, the fact that Road Kamelot was revived may lead to Skin's statement that Noah's never really die and that he may be brought back in later chapters.
Since he comes from New Orleans, it is assumed he is American.
Tyki Mikk - Tyki lives a double life: his "white side" that is a carefree and goofy man of Portuguese descent who travels with humans that love to play poker, and his sadistic "dark side" that has a lust for blood and takes up his role as Noah's descendant (and therefore, one of the antagonists). Allen meets Tyki's Noah side, and, after a talk, Tyki leaves him to die from a heart wound inflicted by Tease (a flesh-eating type of golem in the form of a butterfly) after destroying his Innocence, spreading out the same cards he had given Allen in another encounter over the boy's body.
He was responsible for the death of Kevin Yeegar, one of the 5 exorcist generals, and has killed over 6 other exorcists himself, including Suman Dark (whom Allen had tried to save), Tina Spark, Gwen Frere, Sol Galen, Kazanna Reed, Chakar Rabon, and Daisya Barry.
Allen, with his newly formed Crown Clown, exorcised the Noah from Tyki. Although this was supposed to turn Tyki into a regular human, he instead transformed into an armored monster that faced Allen and Lavi in the ruined dining hall. Oddly enough, Tyki's new form resembles a level 3 Akuma, he has the appearance of a Medieval knight. He was utterly defeated by General Cross but was saved by the Earl before Cross could deliver the killing blow.
Tyki represents the "pleasure" of Noah; he is also one of the kinder Noah. His greatest fear appears to be losing his three human friends.
Just that for now. Pictures later. My brother is so close to sueing me for hogging the computer :P
