We have about 800 students in the whole school and 12 on the team, but I'm a senior and it's too late for me to get started good anyway. I just play with my friends.

That happened to Danny in our school he became a senior and couldn't play... he was one heck of a legend though, the score I beat him was 5 games to 2. Man that was the hardest game of my life.... If only the seniors were allowed to play I'm sure we could win the national level tourney's.

Well, last year we had a good bunch of talented students but this year they're all bums xD. If I were allowed to start a team I would but I'd be a female team instead of a male one. Around town there's only a many males teams that compete, the female ones don't do so 'cus they don't know who to play.

Really? I know some girls in my school that play really well... darn i nearly got creamed... well anyway there should be a lot of girl tourney's though. In new york I think there are a lot more girl tournaments then the male tournaments.

If I want to enter a tournee it's gotta be a team of my own (a few friends of mine) and we compete. Everyone else in the school's too engrossed in Basketball or their studies.

sigh that's what really sucks... tennis is viewed as a spectator sport and not a lot of people show interest in it. In fact my team was horrible until I stepped in and did some amendments. Now I'm pretty sure we'll win. But I want a 100 member team not just like 16 people.

Be glad you have a team at the least. We used to have one a few years ago but since most high schoolers 'round town like Soccer and stuff no one likes Tennis. If I were to make a real team..I guess about 10 people would join it. A few others would want to join but they don't at the same time.

We're building a new tennis court in my school 'cuz more and more people are joining the team (not including me ). Well, by the time the court's built I would've left school anyway.

Ah that sucks marui but hey I think they're rebuilding my old tennis courts as well. If that's the case I guess I'll become an instructor there, I heard you get good pay for that sort of stuff.

Yeah as long as you're good at it. I know one guy around here became rich because he was a great tennis instructor.

I've gotten better in Tennis 'cus my sister's friend's dad is an instructer. They're pretty off now and he plans to make us pay him soon ==;
Well, if people like tennis so much at my school we might ask the school to make courts for us instead of always funding for the volleyball team and basketball. (they always lose so who'd need it) Few of my friend's dads are sponsers said they could sponsor the team if we're so good. They'll even make tounaments for us.

Ehh? maybe I should come to Canada and help you guys? Jk well I won the captain's bash in October and the metropolitan semifinals, sigh the finals I think will be harder than ever... I'm playing against an old instructor of mine. Michael Kim my god he was the legend around here. He won all the tennis tournaments in NY I think he's on the national roaster. He's my idol darn it and also my enemy. I gotta win this one then probably I can make it on the national roaster. Wish me luck on January 21st!

I hope you do good. At least there are good people at tennis here. I was so happy to win one game against that foreign exchange student. I mean it was all luck for me. He was ahead 3 games to 0 and I somehow pulled out a win in that game, he went on to destroy me for the rest of the match winning 6-1, but winning that one game was pretty much the highest point my tennis career will ever reach...

im learning how to play tennis. we dont have a team at our school mainly cuz there is not a lot of interest (i think) but mainly cuz our school is broke and can't afford to build one. they dont even have enough to repair the school.

Haha ~ One time when I was playing tennis with my friends, one of them didn't own a tennis racket so she brought a badminton racket instead and said, "Badminton and tennis are literally like cousins" ;D I was creasing. (Maybe I'm the only one who finds that funny?).

Haha okay, you should really suggest to her to try hitting a tennis ball with that skinny racket >.> Then, try to explain that Badminton and tennis are like family ^_^ That was off-topic >.> Back to topic please, talk about your own Tennis experiences.

i'm a college freshman as of now, and out of total randomness (really, it wasn't because of Prince of Tennis) i signed up for Lawn Tennis as my P.E.
i fell in love with it, really.
well, since i can't repeat a PE class the following semester, i'm taking running instead. i'm just a little sad 'cause i don't have anyone else to play tennis with at my school. Also, it isn't a very popular sport. I play on the the underused and weed-overgrown squash court, alone, in my school. actually, it's been dubbed the "Loner's Tennis Court". LOL.
The best way for me to actually hone my skills in tennis is to join the Tennis team, but they can't accept any more members this year. Plus, they dont' like inexperienced players. i'm putting myself through self-training now so i can try out next year. my running teacher's actually helping me--after the three kilometers of running we do in class, he offers to play tennis with me afterwards. i can't wait to get off Christmas vacation and back to tennis training. my mom doesn't know that i'm training myself for the tennis team though. it's a secret dream for the moment. gah. i don't think she'd be happy to find out about that.

Really I always wanted to know how college tennis was like. I hear there are a lot of tournaments for the college teams. I want to become as good as Novak by that time maybe play in the U.S. Open... nah I'm getting to ahead of myself. But hey everyone wants a shot right? I'm really worried about my health though. I think my back got damaged somehow the lower back pain is my stigma. Darn this I always get the worst of things.

i'm only grateful i can play tennis now. four years ago i was diagnosed with an illness that deteriorated my bones in my spine and it collapsed, compressing my spinal cord. so for about three months, i couldn't walk at all. i had to have an operation. it took me a long while to recover, and now i'm really, really glad i can walk, run and play almost like a normal person. i'm still not allowed to some things, however. it's kinda depressing.

That's harsh. It might happen to me as well. I have no idea why but I have lower back pain to an extreme degree now. Sometimes it hurts just standing up, I think I'll have to see my physican about it. It might have come from an injury in the summer.

Yeah my wrist goes into heavy pain a lot of the time, my parents don't believe me and my doctor won't let me check stuff like that until I'm 18. So, I just keep playing when I can until my wrist gets too painful then I switch to my off-hand.

That happens to me as well. My parents shrug it off and say it's nothing, and my physician beats around the bush. I'm lucky that my tennis elbow healed before it got into serious condition, I'm hoping to join a renowned club or something so I can boost up my tennis career but that can't happen till my health gets better. I just hope I can take the metropolitan finals this year.

shiraishi, ferathon, i actually seriously think you guys should have your health problems checked. even i'm concerned at the very thought. since i've been through my own problems that could have been prevented if my family had paid attention to pains i'd complained about.
i mean, i'm okay now, but i went through a lot ( a hell of a lot, mind you) before they even figured out what was wrong with me and found a solution. there might come a time that it could get really bad and you guys wouldn't be able to play tennis at ALL.
good luck to you both though. you guys sound quite experienced(and good) at tennis--and here i am still struggling to get past beginner stage. XD i'd hate to see potential get lost 'cause of health problems.

I'm experienced maybe but not good... I'm about okay at my best. I just play for fun anyway. I'd never try to go anywhere with it. I don't play enough anymore to worry about my wrist, since I quit the team this year and my other friends stopped playing also except the ones on the team and they never want to play against me anymore.

XD i'd hate to see potential get lost 'cause of health problems. funny thing is my friend said the same thing. He told me I had way to many health problems and if there was an elixir he would get one for me XD. I went to physican the other day she believes it might have been because the muscle was stretched. I told her the things that might have caused it and you won't belive what she said. It's my bookbags fault... I carry more than a recomended weight on my back. And last year I think I was lugging around about 30 pounds of stuff so I think it's from that. The big day's almost here I'm going to take the win! (If my elbow doesn't act up that is) Now the funny thing with the elbow is that it's damage was really deep it took 2 years to heal and still acts up. I'm worrying about my back more though I should go to a specialist....
