Is bubble wrap good for thermal insulation?

As someone pointed out, the web between the bubbles doesn't insulate as well, but if you put two sheets bubble-to-bubbles, it should improve the air-trapping enough to do a decent job of insulating. Assuming that you don't need a really high R-rated insulation.
