What software/hosting can I use to build an easily

I am quite the novice when it comes to web design. I want to produce a professional looking, easy to update sports website, which I can submit news to without having to spend half an hour updating the website. Something along the same lines as goal.com, fourfourtwo.com and bleacherreport.com. Can anybody recommend best software to build the site and where to host it?
