inb4ryomahaters
His stylized hair is epic....i will enjoy drawing Echizen like that from now because his regular hair is too difficult >_<
Now that i think about...Konomi didn't make this match as predictable as we thought.
When Koshimae made the comeback point a few chapters back....in a normal match this would indicate that he's about to dominate or the match has become more even for example his comeback point during the Atobe match...but Konomi decided to go against that formula and after that point he continued to have his pride...his tennis...and his skills decimated by a far superior player.
Normally When echizen has an ace in the hole...the arrogant kid tends to have it and not want to use
Inui- He had the split step but was saving it for nationals (i always lol at that)
Shinji- he had ambidexterity but chose to use it in the end
Hyoshi- Starts of left handed
Atobe- Had access to the Echizen zone
Those are just a few examples
In this match Echizen was driven into a corner...he was pathetic the whole match...i dont know how Echizen hater couldn't have enjoyed the last few chapter

Like hell it wasn't. If you haven't been following up on Yukimura up until this match and didn't expect Echizen to get backed up into a wall, even with all of his techniques, only to open up the PoP like expected (his cockyness always was and will be there) to make the comeback, then I wonder what you thought was going to happen. I didn't consider Echizen's prior performance as "pathetic" during the match, he was doing what he does, he kept playing, and kept on going towards that stride for the win like he always does (one of the few things I admire Ryoma for) it was just that he was simply being outmatched by a clearly better player until he finally decides "Tennis is fun" and becomes a super saiyan. lol Then don't think about it, please don't. Please realize that not everyone is the same and not everyone will see things the way you see fit just because of the way YOU see it and the way YOU put things down. Like you said earlier, and as a phrase I used to use a lot years ago, "to each his own."

I like debating with you whisper....it's the sole purpose for my often narrowminded posts (there is no sarcasm intended btw)
Yes to each his own...but from the few PoT communities i've visited the kid is unanimously hated...i remember reading a video game thread and they said how Ryoma needed to be nerfed even in video games where he has pretty pathetic stats.
So i assumed all those who dislike Ryoma loved watching him lose to Yukimura...he wasnt pathetic the entire match but his attempt to serve really was pathetic last chapter
my reason for not being bored by the manga was because i realized during the Yamabuki match: "This kid is never going to lose...so the only thing to do is wait to see how hw'll win"

D:! I haven't been following the manga for quite a while (All I know is that Kai has his own Valentine's Day Kiss, who wants it? LOL) I followed until Yukimura walks away with the jacket and the sweatless face. What's next? D:

I wanted a match where both of them will be at their best and where one can win as barely as possible, not one like Echizen gets cornered and then he unlocks PoP and then Yukibu gets drived into a corner.
That's it. My favorite match of all time shall remain as Fuji vs Bakaya.

there are I think 4 chapters left right? will yukimura make a comeback? He'll either lose or echizen screws up somewhere and Yuki will take the win. BUT come on yuki has more than that. Maybe he has PoP as well?

Maybe he has PoP as well? I doubt that. PoP's meant to be, super hard to get right? (though IDK now, read the explanation in the new chapter).[/s] Plus, PoP is a stage of the Muga, and Yuki once said that Muga is just a waste of energy. As for the new chapter, I hate the explanation for PoP WTF? Anyone could get it? There were no "PoP" to start with? So we waited all this time to finally get to see the PoP, and there's actually nothing special about it. No returning shots two times the power and spin, no predictions. Simply, "realizing that tennis is FUN". Oh, and just a thought, wouldn't it be great if Tooyama also went into the stage of PoP? Red epic hair. ;D

Just read the new chapter. And you know what... I agree with Marui... BS!!! Echizen realizes tennis is fun and suddenly he's god?!!?
It is definitely a twist... but a twist that overworked the rope and broke it... BOO!!!!!

Agree! Besides, that means all the other people doesn't think tennis is fun, which is very insulting to them.
Getting an ability as excellent as PoP should need hard work.
...Also, did Yukibu made a copy of himself in the last frame? Or did he move like lightning?
On a random note, Samurai Drive sounds lame. What's with Echizen and Drives?!

I think i mentioned this before but I remember in the sanada-tezuka match there was a flash back in which tezuka played yukimura. I definitely saw Yuki having a sort of aura while he played tezuka in his hyukeren jito no kiwomi form.

Yes and also that would mean Fuji and Echizen were in PoP in their unfinished match, because I remember both of them saying "This is fun" or maybe I'm jsut remembering wrong. I haven't went back to check it for sure.

...Also, did Yukibu made a copy of himself in the last frame? Or did he move like lightning? ;D Well, this isn't really surprising is it? Remember Eiji and his twin? Yes and also that would mean Fuji and Echizen were in PoP in their unfinished match, because I remember both of them saying "This is fun" or maybe I'm jsut remembering wrong. I haven't went back to check it for sure. Hmm... I thought this only happened in the Anime?

So Fuji DID aquire PoP? XD

Well what I was trying to say was, "having a twin" or "moving super fast so that it creates a double" in PoT is really very common, therefore the last frame is nothing to be suprised about.
If that's the case, then Echizen would've opened the PoP as well, the fact that he didn't open it until the finals implies that both Echizen and Fuji never had any contact with the PoP (I don't even think Muga was introduced then).

I'm glad Yukimura looks like he is about to make a comeback- I think it would be really unbelivable if after being completley thashed up to this point Echizen suddenly decided that this tennis stuff was really quite fun and then dominated Yukimura for the rest of the match.
From the look on Sanada's face though I think that Yukimura is likely to collapse or something towards the end cos he isn't fully recovered yet.

[you know, if the PoP is related to realizing that you play tennis for fun... wouldn't that mean that little kids who just play tennis for fun would be able to completely pwn adults? Cuz in my mind i started to play sports since they were fun, and then i got in to the competitive, 'we must win' mindset later
or is there another requirement to fulfill, like opening the other doors of muga?]

Or in short, Konomi Takeshi did a really big problem regarding about tennis being fun.

lol the whole tennis is fun thing... My god that meant that the previous captain of Seigaku could have unlocked it as well. I remember Ryuzaki sensei saying that he loved tennis and he didn't play for win or loss.

lol I am so gonna try that out. *Yells to my tennis buddies* "Watch me become a tennis GPD!!!" hits the ball yelling: "TENNIS IS SO FUN!!!"
Well minus the sarcasm i really hate the twist that konomi put on that thing.
