^^What I said in another thread concerning this topic Because the anime changed a lot of things around and changed the chronilogical order how some things happened. Like in the anime, before the Kanto finals Sanada faced and crushed Ryoma before the match between Seigaku and Rikkai dai. In the manga Ryoma faces Kirihara instead and activates the state of actualization and wins( then Kirihara got slapped by Sanada because Sanada's more evil and cooler in the manga -- and that its Rikkai's rule to never lose even in an unofficial match). Whilst in the anime Ryoma didn't activate the SoSA until his match with Sanada in the finals. ( and it's the match where Ryoma first reveals his cool drive in the manga, in the anime it doesn't get revealed until the OVA's) Also in the manga while as we know some moves are impossible the manga at least tries to explain how each move is done ( so that we could possibily try to hit a variation of the move in real life ) whilst in the anime they don't even bother on some moves. Also personally I like the characters a lot more in the manga because in the anime they made everyone either softer or just changed their personality overall *cough*sanda*cough*. I don't like Sanda in the anime, in the manga he kicks butt. There is so much more but you gotta read the manga or spoil yourself to figure those other things out

eh both. the manga is definitely better (in terms of matches and storyline) however the anime's got funny parts too- like the prince of bowling etc and chibis, and prince of tennis bands.

Take the manga. The anime does a lot of crap and tweaks the actual manga. Like Kirihara being a pain and stuff, the anime just made him OOC by being nice.
And the manga is REAL. Written by the mangaka!

Anime really I like when things are moving plus I love the music. I second that. The manga can illustrate great things, but the anime works better, mainly because they are moving. And storyline aside, its great when the history is a little bit different, makes it all more interesting. EDIT: Plus, Echizen getting owned was the best thing that could've happened. I hate the fact the he never loses..

well i re-read the manga and found the boys a bit... weird. they looked weird in the manga compared to the anime. someone mentioned (perhaps in another topic, i cant remember) that they did a better job with the boys in the anime and a better job in the manga with the girls. i guess thats true, in that aspect both the manga and anime have their good points.

I would say the people in the manga are potrayed better, since its by drawing. You can't go very far with animation. There is no anticipation. The fast actions drawn in the manga (blurred) are just fast actions in the anime. People may look weirder, (yes, and BOOK 38 IS JUST OUT AND ATOBE HAS 800 CHOCOLATES!) but hey, you don't see (or in the manga's case,) read that Konomi has just received so and so many amounts of chocolate, right?

I don't really care about how the guys look *I'm a guy xD* (well.. I like Kaidoh's bandana in the manga more then his anime counterpart). I'm just happy the girls look better xD (they really do).
That and like I've already stated, I just like their characters all the more. Yagyuu playing golf? Getting rid of Sanada's mean true warrior like attitude? (More importantly, getting rid of his Fuu Rin Ka In Zan Rai ~_~ ) Trying to make Kirihara a good boy? Psh. Good luck on making him devilish in the OVA's after what they did to him in the anime.
There's only one good thing about the anime, well it has its good points, the comedy fillers BUT my favorite is that they made Sanada totally crush Echizen in the anime. I was really happy about that.
--- In turn, I would say that the manga is more for imaginative and serious people? The anime is more colorful and as I call it, soft. It's for the people that don't like using their brain.
