They both have their good and bad parts. I mean in Anime, you have limits for detail, and to copy the style of the Artist. In the Manga, you have to put your imagination and creativity to the max! I personally like the manga better, but I guess Anime has it's awesome/hilarious parts!

I'm hoping the manga and anime will end together not manga before anime.

I'm hoping the manga and anime will end together not manga before anime. that probably wont happen , but who knows how long the OVAs are going to continue for? if they are planning to finish nationals [anime], then the manga is going to end sooner

The manga is destined to end sooner. They aren't even at Tezuka's match in the anime.
But isn't it better this way? Like even after the manga end, you have something to look forward to. Artemis Fowl is ending, but the movie is coming out soon. Harry Potter ended, but has a couple of movies coming right? It's like the series ended but not ended. Its a cool feeling.

The anime was supposed to have already ended, but high demand by the fans wanted it to continue that's why they're making the OAV's.
So yeah, it's just destined for the manga to end before the anime.

How many Artemis Fowl books are there anyway? 5? I havent read them all..... and since when are they making a movie? ^sorry about of topicness XDI agree with you kyuuki-chan ;D but for the people that have read the manga before, watching the exact same matches might get boring...

At least there may be fillers to look forward to ^^ And I'm thinking the anime may be less rushed, so nearing the end, it will be more worthwhile watching the anime than reading the manga. Its hard to say.

I prefer the actual action. I started watching the anime first. And by the time I decided to read the manga version, I was already like... 350 something chapters behind.. -__-; Err.. don't have to catch up. Also, tt gets a bit confusing sometimes...

I like the manga and anime both but to tell the truth I prefer the anime to be exactly the same as the anime and then add some hillarious parts in. love your sig oakini. atobe is always the almighty king.

I like both. The manga is the original story, with the original drawings and the original characters. And its drawed by the original mangaka! Thats a cool feeling when you are reading the ORIGINAL.
But the animé is good to. I like to see the characters move around, and show their emotions like that. And i like the fillers too! They are always very funny! ^^ And the drawings is good in the animé too. Its great action!

I like the anime because I can see and hear the people... but I like the silliness and the story of the manga better....

Some people may find the manga boring (with no sound effects) so, as much as I like the manga, I recommend watching the anime first, then read the manga.

I prefer the manga for 3 reasons
1- The artwork Takeshi konomi is my favourite manga artist after Nobuhiro Watsuki (Rurouni Kenshin), he draws way better than the animation teams, the level of detail he puts in is scary, and the anime ruins the way some characters look (like Sanada) and makes them look tame, the ova animation is obviously much better but it dosnt garab me like Konomis art
2- The ruining of my favorite matches RYoma and Kiriharas Match, Fuji and Kiriharas Match. Ryoma and Sanadas Match, Kaido and Momo Vs Jackal and Murai Because of their bad moves we lost... Muga Muga for kirihara FuuRinkaZan Blind Fuji Momo and Kaido Dominated COOL drive
3- Characters appearances aren't as unique Konomi draws everyone unique when they play, kaido has no Socks, Hiyoshi uses a jacket, INui wears sweats etc The manga makes them all wear the uniform the same, and robs them of some originality
But on the animes behalf, they have some damn good filler

For all you know Kaidoh might be wearing ankle socks ;D
Other than the poor character appearances, the anime also screwed many characters' personalities/traits and I feel that there's a distinctive lack of personality in some characters which were redeveloped by the anime. Hmm and yup, I agree that PoT fillers are very entertaining. (I think I mentioned this somewhere before...) however, it is during these fillers that some characters' personalities were screwed up.

and what about Niou/Yagyuu vs Oishi/Eiji?!??!?! now they'll never switch in the anime, which sucks because that was like, the definition of their play. Oishi and Eiji were the Golden Pair, Shishido and Choutaro used the Scud serve, and Niou and Yagyuu could change places...

I voted for anime since the movement is shown better in my opinion, besides that, I read through the manga too quickly so it seems like the matches end too quickly. Other than that, the voices and the music adds a lot of drama to it. That's just my opinion though.

Anime, it moves! it has great voice actors! Awesome sound effects and music! The manga is okay, but the art is better in the anime, even though some people's moves and games were butchered, the additional arcs and fillers made up for it.

I like both, watching anime will be funny and easy to catch the meaning of the techniques, and i agreed that the art is better in the anime. But manga is faster than anime!!

I like both. I mean they change things about both. Like the whole Midoriyama(sp?)/Jyousei Shounan(sp?) switch was a great thing to do even though I would like them to both get played on both things.

A thought just crossed my mind: If the Manga and Anime (the episodes are usually released after the Manga chapters come out) are exactly the same, won't people who have read the Manga get bored of the Anime, if it weren't for changes and fillers?
So in this case, both have their pro's and con's.

That is true, but I like both. I mean I began reading the manga a while back and then began watching the anime and even though a lot is still the same, it intrigues me to hear the voices and see the movement itself not just pieces every little bit.
That's why I like both.

Depends on your preference really. Some may like reading the pictures, and imagining the sound effects and voices. Others may just like watching it.
