in the anime there are camps which are not existent in the manga. did you enjoy watching these camps? personally i really liked the camp before the japan vs us match
well and the training camp seigaku had with hyotei was good as well, i find the eiji vs kabaji and atobe vs ryoma match very interesting

I did prefer the Camp where Seigaku went to prepare for their game against Rikkaidai.
But I also liked the other one. You could see a whole new side of Kirihara. Personally however, I never like Echizens matches because he never loses in the anime. Except for when he got owned by Sanada.

I didn't like the camp before the US Arch. They made Rikkaidai look so friggin weak >.<
And what they did to Kirihara's character is just unacceptable in my book. Glad that he still is what he is in the manga.
The camp before Rikkai arch was okay. I was really expecting something exciting out of an Oshitari/Fuji match instead all we get is that Oshitari fails to use the Higuma Otoshi against a supposedly still skinny looking but supposedly stronger Fuji.
And as much as I like Kaidoh I didn't like the up bringing of the "hadokyo boomerang". That's just a cheap way of utilizing an already sugoi' move.
Wow... this helped me realize that compared to the manga I don't really like the anime all that much xD

The anime is just more visual. Nothing better, maybe just all those lame chibi episodes and whatever fillers like bowling and table tennis and curling et cetra?

Actually. The bowling, billiards, and volleyball episodes were part of the manga. They were just ways for the team to relax from tennis, same in the anime. Those are really the only things I like in the anime, those episodes because the writers made it hilarious.
The only one not part of the manga is the table tennis episode.

That is why I never read the manga. People will in most cases just get disappointed because they have high expactations, or gets disappointed because they change things.
Its like when a book turns into a film, really.

well I liked the camp before the rikkaidai match especially with the former seigaku captain comes to visit. I think that guy was really deep. Oh yeah I also liked the arc before the us match cause it brings a lot of matches we wouldn't normally see. Plus it had my favorite song: Wonderful days.

yes and it showed that genichirou could actually sing. -surprise- but i was hoping that for once, in the camp, echizen would actually be left out of the "all-stars" team.

I know, i was so hopeful ![:'(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cry.png) why'd they have to hurt Kirihara, in the anime, he worked so hard to change while Echizen didn't and Echizen gets all the fame anywa ![:'(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cry.png)

back to topic~ back to topic the camps are just fillers (cos they werent really in the manga) however i must say that they are MUCH nicer than other animes' fillers. (haha, like the bear and the welcome tezuka party)
the way they made it was also nice, showing the regulars' team bonding and all.

yeah, especially since no one else hit him (well, i think Oshitari would have, but he's to dignified and superior for that), but that guy from Jyosei wouldn't even react, i-forget-his-name, the one who Echizen played, with the Mirage....

haha, but I think that Oshitari would have been the place in for bane-san being all stereotype KANSAI and all (I don't have anything against Kansai people, that would be being against myself....doesnt make sense)
they call Bane/Oshitari the TSUKKOMI TYPE and Dabide the BOKE type, lol.
although Oshitari's would be WAY WAY milder
