Okay, here's the thing, everything I have right now is self-taught... so I thought I'd ask for some other people's opinions for once. How do I get extra topspin? I know that I can get more topspin if I close my racket a bit, and with a faster swing... but when I hit a hard shot.. it always seems... flat, so I thought I'd ask how to add extra top spin.

I can't really give you any advice, tennis shots just seem to happen to me suddenly and I can't explain how I did it. You can try doing Nadal's forehand, who has the ultimate spin but it will kill your shoulder probably. Other then that, I guess practicing slow and full swing strokes may give you an idea.

Alright, thank you.
Since I don't want to make a new thread for this, but I wanted to ask, about a one-hand backhand. I've had people tell me that the two-hand backhand is easier, but my body just won't have my left hand stay on the handle so I've been doing one-handers. I can do the back hand no problem until the ball is really low... how do I do a one-hand backhand when the ball is really low? It has always gone out on me and that's how I messed up trying to get into my school team.

Ah, I also had problems with the two-handed backhand, so now I'm using the one handed one. If you want to hit a low ball, just bend your knees so you can go under and over the ball. Then rise up with the knees while doing your shot.

Practicing over and over is the best thing. Eventually with time, you will figure out such things as this by yourself. But you do need a coach to fix your mistakes as they can lead to a downfall.
